Artist's Statement

I once was a right-handed man. When I lost the use of my right arm, it took me three years to learn to draw with my left hand.  

Even then, you needed a magnifying glass to see what I had drawn! 

But I am stubborn and so...

I figured that I needed to have some sort of a trade and the closest thing that I could come to it was my artwork. I studied and practiced until I could do whatever I wanted. I could paint people places and things. That is why whenever people ask me what I can do, I say, "People places and things".

For the past 25 years Garry has been selling his prints, ink drawings, ink, watercolour, paintings and pastels door to door. Garry has sold to a minimum of 20,000 people from all over the world and is now in Calgary painting downtown Calgary scenes of people and places in oils.
